Goals

Ive been kind of slacking off in the exercise department the last week so I decided to set a goal and have you guys hold me accountable for it. My goal for the rest of the month of October and the month of November is to jog 3 miles a day at least 5 times a week. Each month after I will add a mile or two and work on making my times better. In addition to getting into shape I hope to lose a lot of the weight Ive packed on. I will have a new goal each month and I ask that you guys check up on me. I would love for everyone's support and encouragement and I will update you on my progress. Thanks guys!

HOLY COW....3 miles A DAY??? I would be lucky to get 3 miles a MONTH... Pretty sad, eh? My body needs some goals like what you're setting, but alas, I'm still too lazy (and I have the thighs, behind, tummy, chinS, etc. to prove it).... All the best of luck to you! BE CAREFUL running out there though!!!!

Wow! 3 miles a day is a lot. I know I wouldn't be able to make it that far. I'm just getting back into the swing of things though. At least as best as I can having three kids. I think I've lost a couple of pounds in the last couple of weeks. In addition to getting in shape for myself, I have a wedding to get ready for next spring. I think it is the wedding that my mom is going to go all out for so I need to be ready.

Sorry I've been MIA lately. My latest post explains, but anyway I totally think running is great. You'll start to see amazing results in like 8 weeks. I started walking in like May and feel great, now if only I can keep the pounds off through this beast of a winter we get here in Utah. I have to work out without my partner and in the basement of my house. Oh this is going to be tough. We'll have to help each other and keep track of our scheduling and goals together! So anyway, the next 8 weeks will be the hardest by far. I'm here for you. Boy does it help to have someone that is counting on you to show up for those runs every other day. Do you have someone (neighbor, ward member) that would run with you every other day? I'd never have been able to stick to my walking routine through the whole summer without my friend Susan who walks with me. Because I knew she was expecting me and would be with me, not only did it get my butt out of bed because I didn't want to disppoint her, but it was also fun and the time went by faster with someone there with me. Anyway, keep us posted. Now that the habit is set, I'm so glad I started, but there were some tough times--stick with you; it's worth it; by spring you'll be a size 2 if you run that consistently. :)
