One of those days.
Yesterday I woke up with a pinched nerve and could hardly move. This sometimes happens to me if I sleep on my left side because of a sledding accident I had a couple of years back. So needless to say I was a little incapacitated. The day didn't get much better after that. I watched a friends kid for a couple of hours and while that was fine, he did decide to throw up on my floor. I also received a very nice bill for $500 dollars that I had not been expecting. Don't you just love those. Anyways hopefully today will be better although Kade has already spread chocolate pudding all over his toys and carpet and I still can hardly move. On a brighter note Seth is doing really well at work. He got the highest marks possible on his yearly review and he has received a new mentor for a future leadership position. What a hard worker he is, hopefully this means that we wont be standing in the unemployment lines any time soon. Mckenzie is doing great although she has become obsessed with the x-box 360 and is always trying to play. I have had to start hiding the controls from her already. Kade has still not progressed with his potty training I had 4 pairs of dirty underwear yesterday before I finally gave up for the day. What a stubborn kid! He actually went and hid in the closet right after I had put him on the toilet and did the deed in the closet. Frustrated is my middle name. Anyways, did I mention I love blogging, its turned into a great journal. If I didnt do this I wouldnt have such a great record of what was going on in our lives, not to mention keeping up with everybody elses lives. Thanks for blogging everyone!

A legacy continues

A legacy of ketchupaholics continues. It all started with my mother who would smother her tacos in this tomato substance, it then continued with me where the phrase" you want some fries with that ketchup" seems quiet appropriate, and now it comes down to my son Kade who is the worst transgressor of all. Even me, with my love of ketchup could not stomach this one. Besides eating ketchup as a meal, Kade decided on this occasion to start dipping his biscut in it. Yuck.
My Valentine and the Beach

Seth and I will have been married 7 years in June and I am so thankful for my husband and all the things he does for me and our family. What a better way to spend Valentines then with him taking a long stroll on the beach. Saturday after leaving the USS Lexington we made our way to Port Aransas where we took a ferry across to the Island and then made our way to the beach. We had a lot of fun playing in the sand and frolicking in the waves. It was a very nice beach but interesting in the fact that you could drive your cars up and down the beach. The water was great especially since Seth and I are used to swimming at the Oregon Coast. After waiting over a year to visit the ocean when we only lived a couple of hours away we are wondering what we were thinking! We will definitely be making a trip back very soon, perhaps even next month.
Corpus Christi and the USS Lexington

My brother Kyle came to visit us this weekend so Saturday for the first time since moving to Texas we made our way down to the Gulf Coast. Our first stop was Corpus Christi where we stopped and toured a old WWII ship called the USS Lexington. It was really neat being on an aircraft carrier looking at all the old planes, and imagining what life might have been like living on board. Kade, now nicknamed "little satan" by my brother had a blast trying to get away and lose himself in the many different passages and hatches on board. My next shopping trip to Babies R' Us I am going to buy one of those kid leashes! Overall the ship was really enjoyable and Im sure we will be goi

Kades 3rd Birthday

We had a blast with Kades Thomas the train party. I ended up getting decorations and going all out. We had Thomas everything, which was fun but right now Im thinking why are we encouraging his obsession even more? I guess your only a kid once, but Im thinking we wont throw another big party until he is 8. Seth kept making the comment that he had never had a birthday like Kades, and I will admit he was a little spoiled. Kade received many gifts including a Thomas blanket, Thomas Trains, and some great gifts from his friends. I really appreciate them bringing gifts, it was really nice and thoughtful!

Exercise Update
My exercising habits are not exactly what I stated I was going to do, but I have been exercising at least 4 times a week. I had two friends join the gym where I go and they have kept me more consistent. We have done everything from cycling to strength training and Yoga. Different activities are great for me because I get bored easily. For instance the running everyday was making me bored silly. Havent really lost that much weight yet but I have toned up and I feel better about myself and I think I am a better mother from all those endorphines.
Happy Birthday Kade
Happy #3 Kade. We didnt really celebrate it because we are having a huge Thomas the Train party on Saturday with 6 other little boys and one girl. Talk about crazy! Anyways, Happy B-day my little man, you drive me crazy at times but I will always love you no matter what.
