Our cousins Mike and
Bri arrived Saturday and after getting situated we headed off for an old revitalized German settlement called
Fredericksburg. Our day was hampered by Texas rain showers but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. We looked at antiques and different specialty stores but our favorite store of all was
Rustlin Robs where everything inside the store was available to sample. We basically made ourselves sick with all the different flavors and textures of stuff. We were going to go to the nature
preserve and see the 3 million bats come out at night but it was raining so we decided to go home and visit the Japanese Tea Gardens. They were constructed out of an old Quarry and are very pretty and peaceful. While there
Kade tried to escape and instead ended up in a mud puddle. Luckily I had a change of clothes in the car. After the
tea garden we headed to
Chuys our favorite Mexican
restaurant. Yum.
