The Beach

Your trip to San Antonio isnt complete with out a trip down to Corpus Christi and the beach. We ended up making our way to Padre Island where we enjoyed the warm water. The kids loved going out in the waves and of course the ocean always has some sort of breeze so we flew kites too. After the beach we made our way to Snoopys for fish and chips. Kade had icecream there and this is the result. He also put his cone on someone elses car and smeared it. Needless to say I was embarrassed and had Seth clean it up with a wet wipe. Overall the beach was a lot of fun and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Fredericksburg

Our cousins Mike and Bri arrived Saturday and after getting situated we headed off for an old revitalized German settlement called Fredericksburg. Our day was hampered by Texas rain showers but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. We looked at antiques and different specialty stores but our favorite store of all was Rustlin Robs where everything inside the store was available to sample. We basically made ourselves sick with all the different flavors and textures of stuff. We were going to go to the nature preserve and see the 3 million bats come out at night but it was raining so we decided to go home and visit the Japanese Tea Gardens. They were constructed out of an old Quarry and are very pretty and peaceful. While there Kade tried to escape and instead ended up in a mud puddle. Luckily I had a change of clothes in the car. After the tea garden we headed to Chuys our favorite Mexican restaurant. Yum.

A New Vehicle

Just in time for my birthday introducing the newest member of our family a 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring. I love this car. Shes loaded with Leather, Navigation, and DVD. Not to mention our patience paid off and we got a really sweet deal. It will be really nice for all the traveling we are going to be doing this summer.

Tang Explosion

Kade has been on a roll lately with his mess making. I hope that he doesnt have children like himself, his poor wife! This one happened awhile ago and it involved a canister of Tang and a whole bag of cereal. Not only are the messes frustrating they are also expensive. On a side note.... today Kade had another bad day he dumped a huge jug of cooking oil all over my kitchen and was skating in it. Once again I love my carpet cleaner!!

O. J. Obsession

I cannot for the life of me keep my son out of the fozen orange juice. This is just one of his many messes on my carpet involving the stuff. I will be forever grateful for my carpet cleaner. I has to be one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Great Summer Fun with Freebies

So if you are looking for fun free things to do with your kids this summer here are a couple of suggestions.

Regal Cinemas around the country offer free kids movies every Tuesday and Wednesday. Check your local Regal to see if they are participating in this program. It starts in June.

Also head to kidsbowlfree.com and see if any of your local bowling alleys are participating in this program. Kids bowl 2 free games every day of the week from 9-5 plus the cost of shoes. (I am going to see if I can just buy them some cheap bowling shoes so that makes it even cheaper. Also for 23 bucks parents can bowl with there children the entire summer. This program has already started and goes all the way to October. What a great deal.

Anyways I hope these programs are going on in some of your towns they are a good way to get out and do stuff with your kids during summer vacation.

Life

Life around here has been pretty busy lately. Seth has been consumed with work especially since they are doing launches now. Yesterday he worked all day 8-6 and then went back in from 11- 2 in the morning. Poor guy.
Ive been busy going to the gym in the mornings, cleaning house, shipping out packages for Fox websites, and of course being a Mom which is the hardest job of all.
We have been looking at vans and have even put in offers but no one has accepted yet, I think we must be too cheap. We have also been looking at houses because the interest rate is so low and the great $8,000 dollar incentive but I dont think that is going to become a reality till February as it might be hard to get out of our contract.
The kiddos are doing great. Kenzi is ready to be done with school so she can play video games and Kade is still our favorite little messmaker. Life is good.

Its official!

Kade is now officially potty trained and has been that way for a month! I was getting a little worried when he turned 3 and still refused to go. So this has been a great blessing. I was getting sick of paying for diapers.
