Science Fair Fun

Yesterday Seth participated with a small team from USAA in a community science fair. Their team designed different exhibits and handed out freebies Saturday from 10-4. Seths project consisted of ways you can make electricity with household items. He used such things as lemons and peppers to power a clock and even made something that would give people a jolt of electricity. For some reason the kids liked that best. (Go figure!)

Mckenzie really enjoyed herself and even helped out setting up the USAA booth. While she enjoyed her dads exhibit, her highlight of the day was the slime booth.

Family Night

Yesterday we enjoyed a scrumptious seafood meal at Red Lobster. The kids actually ate and enjoyed clam chowder, shrimp linguine and of course lobster. It was really good but expensive so it definitely wont be a reoccurring thing. After that we stopped off at Sams club and then made our way to the dollar theatre. I was a little apprehensive about going there because I had heard so many varying opinions, such as catching diseases and getting shot down in the parking lot. I would have to agree that the place was rundown but on a positive note they are beginning to remodel. Anyways we ended up paying $2 dollars for our whole family to watch Bolt which I think was a total bargain. I guess on Monday nights its family night and 50 cents a person. Sweet! Im sure we will go back again and risk the sticky floors and questionable people.

Incredible Pizza is Incredible

Monday night for family night we decided to take advantage of a coupon we had from Incredible Pizza. The place is so much better than Chucky Cheeses. The eating areas are all different theme rooms and we enjoyed our pizza and salad in the highschool gym theme room. Besides having way better food then Chuckys they also have way better games!! Kenzi and I enjoyed a go kart race where we claimed first price. They also had a minature bowling alley, minature golf, and tons of other acarcade and kiddie games. Anyways we had a blast and plan on going back again sometime.

Kenzis School Dance

So obviously I have been slacking in the blogging area so Im making up for lost time. Kenzi actually had an event at school where they performed 3 dances for the PTA meeting. Kenzi did a good job and was really cute. I guess maybe I should enroll her in dance this summer. Anyways poor Seth didnt get to watch the performance as you will note in the following picture of Kade.

Hair today gone tomorrow

My hair has gotten really long since moving to San Antonio and in the last 2 months I have cut off about six inches. Recently I got it cut and highlighted also and this is the result. I like it because when I put it up its not on my neck as much and it will be great for the hot and humid San Antonio weather.

More Hair

So I have continued trying to do something different with Kenzis hair at least once a week. This time it was 3 french braids ending in a little bun with a flower. I think it turned out pretty cute.

I wont be surprised

Today Kade got a hold of my cleaning sponge that I had just used to clean the bathroom. I caught him filling it with water and drinking it. I wont be surprised if he gets sick due to direct ingestion of germs. So gross!!! Hope you werent eating anything when you read this post! On a fun note I'm joining my hubby and some friends for lunch at USAA.

Crazy Kids!

I was debating whether to even write anything on this post. Because pictures in this case are definitely worth a thousand words! Sometimes I think my kids want to take a trip to the emergency room. At least they surrounded the treadmill with pillows for safety. I wonder where my kids get these ideas and then I remember some of the crazy things I did as a child and I no longer wonder.

Hair

Since Kenzi's hair is finally long enough to start fixing. I have started teaching myself to style hair. My mom never knew how to braid or do any cute hairstyles and she passed that trait onto me. So this is my first attempt at doing a fish bone braid. I think that it turned out pretty cute.
